Home Infusion Nurse Coordinator

Responsible for the delivery of high-quality care as it relates to delivery of infusion therapy in the home or alternate setting. Facilitates with staff and provides direct to assigned patient and/or caregiver education on proper handling, storage and administration of infusion medications as well as signs and symptoms of access device complications. 5. In collaboration with pharmacy and nursing leadership, plays a significant role in the development, evaluation and implementation of standards of practice and related policies and procedures, ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards relating to nursing. 6. In collaboration with pharmacy and nursing leadership, reviews, escalates and responds to patient and family complaints, investigates unusual events and ensures proper follow-up and documentation. 7. Represents nursing in the development of interprofessional learning activities, acts as education and practice expert and advances organizational initiatives. 8. Supports the development of nursing leadership skills in self and clinical nursing staff according to System, Regulatory and accreditation standards of Practice, to promote professional nursing practice and quality patient care.
