Chart detailed monthly evaluations of each Guest that reflect his/her condition and progress. 9. Responsible for all nursing care of assigned Guests while on duty. Must notify appropriate persons if there is any significant change in a Guest’s condition or any transfer to a hospital. 10. Ensure that Guest care plans are being followed and asses each Guest’s status in accord with their care plan. 11. Round with physicians when needed. 12. Administer or supervise all treatments prescribed by physicians including but not limited to pressure ulcer care, Foley catheter care, hot and cold compounds and intravenous therapy. 13. Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluids intake and immediately report any issues to the physician and DON/ADON. 14. Must be knowledgeable of individual care plans and support the care planning process by reporting specific information and observations of the Guest’s needs, preferences and report any behavioral changes. 15. Provide wound care when needed. 16. Completes medical records documenting care provided and other information in accordance with nursing policies while maintaining strict confidentiality. 17. Assure that established infection control and prevention practices and standard precautions are maintained at all times. 18. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies. 19. Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, accidents/incidents and supply issues to appropriate persons. 20. Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment. Overview • Department: Nursing Float Pool • Schedule: Full Time , Days • Facility: Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital • Location: Evanston, IL 60201 Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Float RN can be assigned to two (2) or more units based on need and will maintain competency to practice in all units. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The RN also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients on an assigned unit. She/he/them communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License 2. Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred. 6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 7. Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58..
