UPMC is hiring an OP Nurse Coordinator to support the surgical oncology team at the UPMC Shadyside Cancer Pavilion, Centre Avenue. This full-time position will initially work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential to transition to four 10-hour shifts, offering enhanced work-life balance. There are no evenings, weekends, or holidays required. In this role, you will serve as a key clinical resource for patients, providers, and care team members, coordinating care throughout the surgical oncology journey. Responsibilities include triaging incoming patient phone calls and MyUPMC messages, providing clinical support and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, routinely reviewing surgeon schedules to ensure accurate diagnoses, appropriate scheduling, and required medical records are obtained, and monitoring inpatient discharges and follow-up care to ensure timely post-hospital visits and continuity of care. UPMC is hiring a full-time, flex OP Nurse Coordinator to support the UPMC Shadyside Centre Avenue Cancer Pavilion. This position serves as a key clinical resource for patients and the multidisciplinary care team, providing triage for incoming telephone calls and MyUPMC messages, coordinating patient care needs, and offering clinical support to team members. Responsibilities include ongoing review of surgeons' schedules to ensure accurate diagnoses, appropriate scheduling, and required medical records are obtained, as well as monitoring inpatient follow-up, discharge care, and post-hospital visits.
