MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A High School Diploma, vocational/technical training; at least three years of experience, preferably in a geriatric setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Knowledge of: Policies, procedures, methods, and practices of the community; Medical terminology; Methods and procedures involved in handling emergency situations; Use of medical supplies and equipment; Medication dispensed to residents; Supervisory methods and techniques; Records, graphs, reports, etc. used in the daily performance of duties; Principles and practices of nursing care.
