Able to verbalize and demonstrate proper rationale and techniques surrounding all aspects of indwelling urinary catheter care as per policy # 4668. Fulfills the requirements for competencies and completion of annual mandatories surrounding indwelling urinary catheters. Takes a patient assignment when necessary. Collaborates with Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Telecommunication to ensure optimal continuity of care, from pre-hospital to hospital. Coordinates educational and process improvement activities including case reviews with EMS teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing required or must obtain within 3 years from date of hire (or internal transfer) as a condition of employment Minimum of two years of emergency nursing experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Current NJ RN License required. CPR Certification required. ACLS certification required. 8 hours of basic trauma education required to be achieved within the first year and maintained thereafter.
