Collaborate with the Clinic Administrator for patient care staffing, matching patient needs with staff capabilities and experiences to maximize staffing resources. Collaborate with the Clinic Administrator on the scheduling of patients to ensure all patients are treated in a timely manner. Assist in the teaching and training of new staff members as directed by the Nurse Educator - i.e., machines, ROS, procedures etc. Act as the Subject Matter Expert and assist nurse educator with training for staff in all clinical systems. Ensure vascular access management for the patients is documented as needed. Education & Administrative Support Coordinator (CNA) Department: Education Reports To: Director of Education FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Status: Full-Time Position Summary The Education & Administrative Support Coordinator (CNA) is responsible for providing administrative and educational support to the facility’s Education Department. This position utilizes Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience to assist with staff education, orientation, competency development, in-service training, and clinical skills reinforcement. In addition to educational responsibilities, this position provides administrative support to ensure accurate documentation, scheduling, tracking, filing, communication, and regulatory compliance related to employee education and training. The ideal candidate is an experienced CNA who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with employees at all levels, and interested in supporting staff development and quality improvement within a long-term care/skilled nursing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Assist the Education Department with new-hire orientation and onboarding activities. · Assist with CNA orientation and clinical onboarding. · Provide education and reinforcement of basic CNA skills within the scope of the position. · Assist with hands-on skills demonstrations, return demonstrations, and competency validation as directed by the Education Department. · Support mandatory in-service education programs. · Assist with annual education requirements and required employee competencies. · Reinforce facility policies, procedures, infection prevention practices, resident rights, safety procedures, and standards of care. · Assist with tracking employee completion of required education and competencies. · Help identify areas where additional employee education or retraining may be necessary. · Assist with preparing educational materials, handouts, presentations, competency checklists, and training resources. · Support the Education Department during classroom and clinical training. · Assist with CNA skills labs and competency activities. · Provide peer support and coaching to new CNAs during orientation and training. · Promote professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care. · Communicate employee education concerns or competency issues to the appropriate supervisor. · Maintain accurate employee education and training records. · Schedule orientation sessions, in-services, competency assessments, and educational programs. · Maintain attendance records for educational programs. · Enter and update education and competency information in electronic systems and/or employee files. · Prepare sign-in sheets, certificates, competency forms, educational packets, and other department documents. · Assist with maintaining employee education files and required documentation. · Track expiration dates for certifications, licenses, competencies, and required training. · Assist with generating education compliance reports. · Follow up with employees who have outstanding education or competency requirements. · Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems. · Assist with preparing reports for the Director of Nursing, Education Department, Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI), and facility leadership. · Assist with audits of employee education records for completeness and compliance. · Assist with maintaining the department calendar and training schedule. · Answer routine questions from employees regarding education requirements and training schedules. · Assist with communication between the Education Department, Nursing Department, Human Resources, and facility leadership. · Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information. · Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned. · Assist the Education Department in maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. · Assist with preparation for regulatory surveys, audits, and internal compliance reviews. · Maintain accurate and timely education documentation. · Assist with monitoring completion of required annual and ongoing education. · Participate in QAPI initiatives related to education, competency, staff development, and quality of care. · Assist with education initiatives developed in response to quality concerns, incident trends, audits, or regulatory findings. · Maintain knowledge of facility policies and procedures applicable to the position. · Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required · Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the applicable state. · Previous experience working as a CNA in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. · Strong organizational and administrative skills. · Ability to communicate effectively with employees, residents, families, and leadership. · Ability to maintain confidentiality. · Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Strong attention to detail. · Professional demeanor and positive attitude. · Strong Microsoft office skills. Preferred · Two or more years of CNA experience in long-term care/skilled nursing. · Previous experience training, mentoring, precepting, or orienting CNA staff. · Experience assisting with employee education or competency programs. · Experience with regulatory surveys, audits, or compliance documentation.
