Diagnose and manage acute and chronic women's health conditions within scope of practice. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable regulations, organizational policies, and approved formularies. Perform appropriate office-based procedures within training, certification, scope of practice, and organizational privileges. Perform limited obstetric ultrasound, as applicable, in accordance with training, certification, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies. Provide patient education, counseling, and shared decision-making related to reproductive health, sexual health, preventive care, and overall well-being. Identify risk factors, abnormal findings, and conditions requiring additional evaluation, physician consultation, co-management, or referral. Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. Promote continuity of care and support patients in navigating appropriate health care services. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, clinical audits, and other activities that support patient safety, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance. Maintain complete, timely, and accurate medical records, including patient histories, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up.
