Job Description The Pain Management Center provides care to outpatients. The hours of operation for the Pain Management Center are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM until 4:00PM. The responsibility of the department is to ensure high quality nursing care to patients having Pain Management procedures according to American Society of Pain Management Nurses (ASPMN), American Heart Association, ASPAN, NJ State Department of Health, CDC, CMS, OSHA and TJC recommendations. The department provides peripheral nerve blocks, nerve injections, nerve ablations, tenotomy and epidural procedures. The scope of care includes independently assessing patient needs, making collaborative decisions relative to all phases of care, pre-procedure, intraprocedural, and recovery while maintaining patient safety, monitoring, and high-quality patient care. Principal Accountabilities Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date. 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area. ACLS certification. We are now hiring a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse in Parsippany, NJ . The L.P.N. delivers care to individuals in a community setting utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. This person will interact with individuals, significant others, and health team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. Starting pay is $24.00/ per hour Responsibilities Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by the standards of professional practice or law Ensure individuals attend medical appointments per their Individual Support Plan (ISP) Advise supervisor of all concerns and issues related to the provision of nursing services Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments Train employees on the medical needs of assigned individuals Monitor health and medical conditions of individuals and refer for medical services as needed Monitor the use of medications through medication administration logs Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely Build a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and families Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nursing field Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities Valid nursing license Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with an individual receiving supports Ability to effectively present facts and recommendations Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing Why Community Options?
