Job Overview The Medical Assistant (MA) II functions as an AltaMed ambassador at the assigned clinic, PSC, or Patient Registry team. The MA assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical/clerical support services in the clinical setting. Minimum Requirements A Medical Assistant certificate, along with a high school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a back office Medical Assistant preferred in the outpatient setting, medical practice, or clinic setting. Phlebotomy certified preferred Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification, preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location, strongly preferred.
