Job Description Behavioral Health Nurse (Clinic Nurse) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide high-quality mental health nursing care within a military healthcare environment. The RN will deliver evidence-based interventions, support emotional and psychological well-being, and promote overall readiness and resilience among military personnel and their families. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health nursing care to patients experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and adjustment disorders. SCOPE OF SERVICE Kamehameha 4 RNs provide pre-op and post-op care to patients undergoing endoscopic and urologic procedures. Kamehameha 4 RNs also cross-train into Endoscopy for colonoscopies and EGDs. Pre-op care focuses on preparing the patient for their procedural experience and also identifying potential or actual problems that may occur. Phase I post-op care focuses on: monitoring vital signs, managing postoperative pain, monitoring the surgical site, treating symptoms of postoperative nausea and vomiting, treating post-anesthetic shivering and airway management. Phase II post-op care focuses on preparing the patient and family for care at home.
