Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Edina, MN This is a .75FTE ( 60 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. Clinic Hours of Operation are Monday–Thursday: 7:00AM–6:00PM and Friday: 7:00AM–5:00PM. NO WEEKENDS! This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 New Hire Sign On Bonus! As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will gather information and documents to support the patient visit. Performs high and low risk technical procedures defined by the clinical setting includes medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures and may include lab draws. Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences. Implements assigned aspects of the patient teaching plan. Documents care in the medical record. Effectively communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN. Takes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patient. Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practice guidelines. Responds appropriately to emergent situations Functions as care team assistant as needed Communicates effectively with other members of the health care team. Documents care in the medical record. Communicates verbal and written information in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner. Uses communication approaches appropriate to patient/family needs Respect and ensures the confidentiality of all information regarding patients, staff members or Fairview business issues. Job Overview Fairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN. The hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions! It has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 45 beds and a yearly census of approximately 67,000 and growing! Team members include Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, transport, and Case Managers. Emergency Department Registered Nurses provide emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions (infant to geriatrics) and all problem types in a very lively Emergency Room. The Fairview Ridges ER processes 67,000 cases per year, with an average of 184 patients seen daily. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and instructing. New positions added due to volumes/growth. About This Role: Rowan's Piercing Studio Nurse, reporting to the Studio Manager, is dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and joyful ear-piercing experience. As a Rowan Nurse you will leverage your highly respected nursing skills and expertise to perform piercings with the utmost care and precision. Nurses are our skin-saving, infection-fighting, and customer-calming superheroes – essential skills that make Rowan’s signature clinical ear piercing services a true delight. Your role is all about building trust and excitement, turning each piercing into a fun and memorable milestone! What you’ll do: Customer Service: Create magical and memorable customer experiences by combining top-notch clinical care with a celebratory atmosphere during each piercing session. Ensure customer's safety and comfort and smooth flow of customer care. Provide confident, clear, and professional communication with clients throughout their entire piercing experience. Create a comforting atmosphere for customers, easing their concerns to ensure a relaxed and confident piercing experience. Educate customers on aftercare, promoting Rowan's After Care to support healing and ensure their well-being. Conduct a thorough ear evaluation to find the perfect earring placement and offer personalized styling advice. Actively monitor the customer experience, quickly addressing and resolving any issues to maintain Rowan's clinical piercing standards. Maintain a sterile and aseptic environment at the nurse station and on the procedure tray, ensuring all surfaces, instruments, and supplies are clean and properly sanitized to prevent contamination and promote customer safety. Use your expert knowledge of skin care and infection control and prevention to provide professional and personalized piercing services. Studio Support: Collaborate with the Studio Manager to keep operations running smoothly and foster a joyful, celebratory atmosphere. Flexibility to fill shifts as needed. May mentor and train new nurses to uphold Rowan's Clinical Piercing Standards, including shadowing piercing services and observing customer interactions. Stay attentive to anything that could impact the customer experience, and quickly report any issues to management while collaborating to resolve them. Inventory and Supplies: Ensure all piercing stations, including the nurse cart, mayo stand, and nurse nook, are always stocked with the necessary supplies and ready for any customer needs. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of our services by sterilizing jewelry and needle piercing instruments. Studio Operations: Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines closely to ensure a sanitary and safe piercing experience. Sales: Ensure high-quality performance to support key studio metrics, including revenue growth, efficiency in piercing services (e.g., piercings per hour), increasing average order value, and boosting sales. Educate customers on Rowan After Care, and the benefits of bringing home an extra pair of hypoallergenic, non-piercing jewelry to promote healing. Reporting and Communication: Quickly address and escalate operational concerns, ensuring clear communication with management and team members to implement solutions efficiently. What you bring to the table: Required Certifications: Active RN or LPN/LVN License. Applicants must be eligible to obtain or possess a body art license or registration in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Professional and engaging customer care approach. Warm, friendly, team player with an entrepreneurial spirit. Excited to create celebratory, memorable experiences for our customers. Skilled in providing both technical and non-technical information to customers and community members. Interest in working in a retail environment with sales goals. Obsessive attention to detail. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including during peak times such as holidays and weekends. Open to all experience levels; newly licensed nurses are welcome. Nurse Benefits & Perks: Compensation: $24-49 per hour, consisting of $24 an hour base wage plus an estimated $25 per hour in tips once fully trained! While Piercing Nurses keep 100% of earned tips, tips are customer-provided, are not guaranteed and can vary by location. Full-time new hires are eligible for a sign-on bonus.
