The Wellness Visit Medical Assistant (WVMA), under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, supports the first phase of a two-part Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (AWV). Following successful onsite training and competency validation, the position transitions to a primarily remote role conducting the initial visit via telehealth. The WVMA reviews preventive care needs and quality care gaps using approved protocols, obtain and documented patient-reported medications and medical histories, documents findings in the electronic health record (EHR), and prepares patients for the second portion of the visit, which is completed in person by a Nurse Practitioner. Overview Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant for our Med/Surg Unit.
