Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 6. Ventilator Management experience preferred. 7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Schedule: 3:00pm-11:00pm Rotating days; weekends included 9 evenings over a 2 week period (8 hour shifts) no call Essential Functions: Demonstrates clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities which may include diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems. Transplant Nurse Coordinator- Clinical Research Full Time Days

The Transplant Nurse Coordinator - PNE is a Registered Nurse with experience in and knowledge of stem cell or organ transplantation and donation. Practicing under the supervision of transplant physicians, the Transplant Nurse Coordinator provides coordination through all phases of patient care. This position makes referrals to external clinicians or treatment programs or other community resources as appropriate and in accordance with established departmental protocols. Job duties may vary by specific department or assignment. This clinical program expands access to care for patients afflicted with debilitating neurologic and autoimmune diseases, currently a community of people with limited treatment options. Patients will be primarily be treated under clinical trials, advancing science through data and research.
