: Medication Technician Position Summary Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Wellness Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administer medications to the residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. Qualifications and Required Experience for Medication Technician: Excellent communication skills and a compassion for older adults Must possess valid driver’s license Primary Responsibilities for Medication Technician: Administers medications according to the physician order on the medication administration record (MAR) Documents medications administered on the MAR in accordance with company policy Checks MARs immediately after administration and prior to end of shift to ensure documentation is complete and accurate Conducts change of shift report with oncoming/outgoing shift personnel Maintains security of medication cart and narcotic keys during entire shift. Conduct narcotic count at the beginning and end of every shift in accordance with company policy and procedure. Provides all necessary care and services to assigned residents and assists other caregivers as needed Works collaboratively with peers and other team members Provides assistance with Activities of Daily living such as with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene (includes shaving, oral care, nail care, hair care, foot care), toileting, eating and ambulation/mobility Maintains professional demeanor at all times when interacting with residents and families. Overview Department: Inpatient Wound Care Shift’s Available: Days Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 8hr – 8:00am to 5:00pm Location: St Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO We are seeking an Inpatient Wound Care RN, which is also referred to as a Wound Care, Ostomy, or Continence Nurse (WOC). The Wound Care RN will specialize in assessing and treating skin breakdown and wounds in a clinic setting. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will also be consulted during a patients stay in a hospital for a wound or pressure injury, we are also consulted for ostomy care. The Wound Care RN will also be responsible for determining the proper course of treatment and interacting with services in the community to continually care for the wound care patient. Our transport team is specifically trained in neonatal and pediatric transport medicine and has been providing support to physicians and healthcare facilities throughout Missouri and Kansas, as well as nationally and internationally, since 1971. Completing nearly 5300 transports annually, our team is a leader in critical care transport. A specialty registered nurse registered respiratory therapist, and emergency medical technician/ paramedic make up the dedicated crew for each transport. Our continued commitment to excellence in transport medicine has earned our team national and international recognition, including the honor of Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Award of Excellence from the Association of Air Medical Services. Our communication center is staffed with certified flight communication specialists ready to assist you at all times. The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS) accredits our program in three modes of transport: ground, rotor wing, and fixed wing. Participates in performance improvement and professional development activities. Qualifications Associate's Degree ADN Required: Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and 3-5 years experience 3 years neonatal or pediatric critical care experience. Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013: Nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date. and 3-5 years neonatal or pediatric critical care experience. The pay range for this job begins at $37.69/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
