RN (School Nurse) Needed Monday-Friday Weekly Pay! SUMMARY Under general supervision, is responsible for providing medical treatment, first aid, emergency care and medications for students in the school programs, under the direction of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with company policies, the regulations and requirements of applicable regulatory agencies and the standards of the profession. Participates in consultative process with parents and team members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse - Children's Services will include, but are not limited to the following: Serves and participates as a member of interdisciplinary team. Is responsible for assisting Registered Nurse in coordinating and following through on provisions of health care services for students in program. Keeps progress notes under supervision of registered nurse for each student and summarizes for quarterly, semi-annual and annual reviews. Provides regular and PRN health care to students receiving services as instructed by registered nurse. Provides direct hygiene and health instruction to staff, students receiving services and families as required. Handles control of communicable diseases and infections through identification and assessment. Reports to consulting physician and Infection Control Nurse. Implements appropriate protective and preventive measures. Provides staff training in regard to infection control regularly and as needed. Provides first aid to students in need of immediate care, with referral to registered nurse, private physician or outside emergency services as necessary. Monitors required staff health records and provides tests in accordance with regulatory agency requirements. Keeps up to date and accurate records of examinations, immunizations, illnesses, accidents and other pertinent data of students via progress notes. Administers medications as prescribed. Supervises secured storage of medications. Refers all consults and diagnostic reports to registered nurse for review. Transports students to appointments as necessary. Maintains Nursing Office. Orders supplies and equipment as required. Visits students at home as requested by Director or designee. Keeps abreast of changes in Nursing Services field. We seek an experienced, compassionate Infusion Homecare RN to provide weekly 1:1 IVIG infusion services to a patient in lower Putnam County, with easy access off the Taconic Parkway. Nurses are critical to the healthcare services we provide directly to clients. We are seeking to hire Registered Nurses whose direct support, knowledge, skills, and expertise will enable our company to grow, adapt, and expand into new areas of home-based nursing services. The Home Infusion Nurse will partner with our Infusion Intake Team to ensure seamless initiation of infusion care in patients' homes. Qualifications: Applicants must have at least 3 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience as a registered nurse in a home care infusion company, hospital, clinic, or medical facility Supervisory or managerial experience PREFERRED. Infusion experience is REQUIRED. MUST have experience infusing IV/SQIG and biologic medications! Knowledge of principles & practices of supervision, performance evaluation, and education. Knowledge of Federal HIPAA Regulations Knowledge of standard nursing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques. Ability to read and interpret clinical documents, including physicians' orders and treatment plans. Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary health care team. Job Requirements: NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration Certificate BLS necessary/ACLS preferred Up-to-date medical, inclusive of Physical, TB Clearance/QuantiFERON Gold blood test, 2-step PPD or T-Spot, or Chest X-ray and Habituation Statement MMR-Varicella Titers Lab Report or Vaccination Records TDAP Vaccine - Hep B Vaccination Series, Titers OR Declination Urine Drug Screen (UDS) - within the last 6 months is acceptable. Educate the patient and/or family in therapy administration via IV Infusion therapy preparation and administration Patient safety, monitoring, and post-infusion follow-up Communication with patients, families, infusion pharmacy, and medical providers as necessary A successful infusion field nurse will collaborate with the infusion manager, coordinators, and other internal office staff. They will conduct on-site field visits to provide patient care and, upon request, supervise the competence of nursing staff. They must be able to multitask and prioritize work responsibilities.
