In this role, the successful candidate Supports Departments of Nursing quality and safety programs. Provides quality improvement facilitation and support for nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams undertaking improvement initiatives. Supports evidence based practice and nursing research within the Departments of Nursing. Participates in monitoring of regulatory compliance, identifies opportunities for improvement, and assists patient care units with development and implementation of improvement strategies. Participates in occurrence reviews, complaint investigation, RCAs, and FMEAs and assists in facilitation of the corrective action plans with nursing leadership and staff. Assists with benchmarking activities through National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), University Healthsystem Consortium (UHC) and other organizations as appropriate. Job Responsibilities: Supports the organziations Quality Safety and Performance Improvement Plan. Utilizes and communicates evidence based practice in the development of the quality & performance program of the Department.Facilitates the development and dissemination of nursing knowledge and research that supports coordinated, resource efficient quality outcomes.
