Job Description Nemours is seeking a full-time (72hrs every 2 wks) Nursing Assistant for our 4 East Unit, with every third weekend, holiday rotation package and flex holiday (as needed) in Wilmington, DE. This position is responsible for assisting with general activities of the patient care unit and assist the health care team with performance of patient care activities, under the direction and guidance of a Registered Nurse. 4 East is a 24-bed general, specialty and subspecialty medical unit with a high population of patients requiring respiratory or gastrointestinal management. Each single patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air and suction, along with state-of-the-art cardio respiratory bedside monitors and computers that enable the healthcare team to access a patient’s electronic medical record. These computers are also used in the barcoding administration of medications which ensures patient safety by verifying that the correct medication is given to the appropriate child. This unit’s goals are to provide high-quality, cost-effective, family-centered care. Family-centered care rounds are performed daily to assure an inter-professional approach and partnership with the patient and family. Essential Functions Ensures an adequate stock of all necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels. Ensures a clean and safe patient care unit. Assists patients with activities of daily life (bath, feed, play, etc.) and provides other patient care as directed. Assures all supplies are accurately charged. Contacts pharmacy, dietary, and other departments as designated by the Registered Nurse. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Nursing Assistant for our 3 West floor! Position is full-time, 60 hrs every 2 wks. Rotating shifts, every 3rd holiday, two weekends out of six. This position is responsible for: Assisting with general activities of the patient care unit and assist the health care team with performance of patient care activities, under the direction and guidance of a Registered Nurse. 3 West is a 24-bed medical surgical unit for patients 0-21 years of age. This unit is designated for orthopedic patients, patients in need of comprehensive rehabilitation and acute rehabilitation of both traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, ventilator-dependent patients, and patients with tracheotomies. Additional patient populations include neurosurgical and nonsurgical neurology, and infants transitioning from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Neurology and neurosurgical patients are also cared for on 3 West. This unit was designed to provide single patient care rooms to allow for privacy and family presence during the hospital stay. Responsibilities Ensures an adequate stock of all necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels. Ensures a clean and safe patient care unit. Assists patients with activities of daily life (bath, feed, play, etc.) and provides other patient care as directed. Assists other staff in examination or treatment procedures including positioning, holding and comforting patients. Assures all supplies are accurately charged. Contacts pharmacy, dietary, and other departments as designated by the Registered Nurse. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for our general pediatrics stepdown unit to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware . This position is FULL-TIME, 72 hours biweekly, 12-hr rotating shifts, with every third weekend and holiday rotation . 3 East is a surgical intermediate unit with a high population of patients requiring post-operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. 3 East also cares for patients with acute and end stage renal disease and patients requiring an intermediate level of nursing care due to their tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs. Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air, and suction along with state-of-the-art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors and computers that enable the healthcare team to access a patient’s electronic medical record. The patient care complexity directly relates to the wide range of patient care skills required for this diverse patient population. The goal of this unit is to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. The Synergy model is used in making appropriate patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill set. Special equipment used on this unit includes infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, BiPap respirators, Oxygen delivery methods, PCA & epidural pumps, wound vacutainers, ventilators and specialty beds. Nursing competencies include: chest tube management, pain management, blood product administration, urinary catheterization, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and central line care and management. Job Description The PICU is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Wilmington, DE. This is a 36hrs/wk, rotating shift position. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Nemours Children's Health, Delaware is a 24-bed unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center. Patients requiring care and surveillance in the PICU will have conditions and diagnoses which may include, but are not limited to, those producing: acute and reversible loss of consciousness, respiratory failure, compromised air exchange, cardiovascular dysfunction, hepatic failure, hemodynamic instability, renal dysfunction, central nervous system injury or dysfunction, acute trauma and organ failure requiring transplantation. Treatments or interventions performed in the PICU include measures utilizing advanced life support technology. These include, but are not limited to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, ECMO, pharmacologic support of circulation, mechanical ventilation, point of care monitoring, CRRT, thoracentesis, and hemodynamic, intracranial pressure, intravascular monitoring. Each patient room has electrocardiographic, pulse oximetry, respiratory, hemodynamic and intracranial pressure monitoring capability, as well as central EKG and respiratory monitoring. Portable monitoring during patient transport is provided. Special equipment includes radiant warmer beds, heating/cooling blanket systems, Mapleson manual ventilation system, end tidal CO2 monitors, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring systems, intracranial pressure monitoring system, ventriculostomy systems, infusion pumps, blood warmer, continuous renal replacement systems, and peripheral nerve stimulators. Requirements Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Experienced pediatric intensive care nurse of at least 2 years preferred. Current Delaware or Multistate Compact License Must be CPR certified by the American Heart Association. PALS and ACLS preferred.
