What You’ll Do: Ensuring that patients receive optimal postoperative care through monitoring vital signs and conducting assessments. Providing comfort measures to ensure patient's comfort as they recover from anesthesia. Administering medications, pain relief, and IV fluids as prescribed by the physician. Educating patients on their recovery progress and answering any questions they may have. Assisting with discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition back home. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible for patients after surgery. Documenting patient's postoperative care in medical records accurately and completely.
