Registered Nurse Floater needed in the Bronx Full time position, IRA Residences! Work hours: Flexible. Our client has various IRA locations throughout the Bronx in need of RN's. Flexible Schedule: 40 hours per week – any 5 days per week – 8 hours per day...the 8 hours can be any 8 hours between the hours of 8am-8pm. Communicate with team members as to findings. -In urgent/emergent situations, you may receive phone calls outside of routine working hours regarding individuals assigned to your caseload. -Attend meetings with management, staff, families, and clinicians to discuss any health-related issues regarding consumers served. -Develop individual specific nursing plans and protocols as needed. Update and revise these documents to reflect changes in consumer status. -Supervises AMAP administration of prescribed medication and routine treatments in accordance with federal and state regulations and agency policy. Administers STAT medication and treatments as prescribed. Participates in in-services and trains AMAPs as needed. Completed AMAP certification, recertification and decertification processes as necessary. -Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements -Must be currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State. -CPR certification required. -Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred not required. -Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. -Ability to handle multiple priorities and work as a member of a team. -A valid NY State or Tri-state area Driver's License for more than one year, in good standing, preferred. School LPN Nurse Needed in the Bronx 2 days per week, 9am-5pm! Scope of Services Consultant will coordinate and oversee the health care services across the 2 sites. This includes: -Completing all screenings including vision, height, dental, weight and lead. Dental and vision will be monitored and charted if completed prior by the physician. Weight will be monitored and recorded if completed prior and nurse will do follow up after 3 months. This also includes managing all health and nutrition components of the programs in accordance with federal and state regulations, implementing the medication policy including administration of medication, measuring blood pressure, blood sugar and monitor records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and function as part of a cohesive team that develops and monitors program operations. Conducting Physical Assessments: -Assist all two center base sites with health related information for each child and review all medical information and charts. -Document visits at all sites for data collection in accordance with all guidelines for health- related child outcomes. -Review child physicals upon enrollment and on a regular basis thereafter to ensure appropriate updates and sustaining of ongoing physical updates. -Ensure all physicals have been completed within the last year. -Ensure the child is up to date with vaccinations. -Provide guidance for the completion of Child Health Care Plans and monitor every six months for update compliance, renewals, or changes in medication and to update doctor/parent permission to continue administering. -Review of any medications that are related to allergies or specific medical care instructions and note this information in the children's file.
