The patients have a general diagnosis of leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, sickle cell disease, solid tumor cancers, immune disorders, palliative care, and other hematologic malignancies. All disease related care for these case types is performed on the unit, including blood product support and administration of chemotherapy. The unit provides care for allogenic bone marrow transplants (including CAR-T therapy, umbilical cord blood transplant, matched unrelated donors and Haplo donors) and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplant patients. The unit participates in infusional therapy for clinical trials as they relate to inpatient status. Patients receive Bipap, Cpap, High flow O2, telemetry, negative pressure dressings, specialty beds, PCA therapy.
