Director of Nursing (Sheltered Care Facility) Reports To: Administrator / Executive Director Location: Wheeling, Illinois] Status: Full-Time, Exempt Position Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees the delivery of all resident care services within the sheltered care facility in accordance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations (77 Ill. Supervise C.N.A.'s on their shift to assure proper timely delivery of resident care and completion of assignments. Complete work assignments with C.N.A.'s, and communicate any changes in resident care plan or condition of resident. Maintain PHI by assuring C.N.A.'s adhere to facility policy and procedure. Regulatory Compliance: Understand, comply with and promote all rules regarding resident rights. Educate and assure C.N.A. compliance with respect to resident rights. Report all suspected, alleged, or witnessed physical, sexual, or verbal abuse immediately to the Administrator, Abuse Prevention Coordinator and/or designee. Training and Development: Attend all staff meetings and in-services as required. Attend organization-wide programs and meetings to be informed and current on organizational strategies and programs. Maintain competence with specified nursing skills by performing competency training as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON). Qualifications: Current State of Illinois RN or LPN Licensure.
