Report omissions to nurse Check integrity of the sensormatic ID band on designated residents Keep resident areas free of environmental hazards Follow facility policy and procedures and the plan of care for the use of restraints Explain use of call light bell and provide within resident's reach Respond to call light bell promptly Maintain safety during lifting, moving, positioning and transfer of residents as per facility protocol. Report any equipment or furniture in need of repair Report promptly any resident who is unaccounted for during meals or any other time during the shift Utilize good judgment in the application of safety and protective devices Perform Heimlich Maneuver when professional staff is not at the scene.
