This dynamic team operates under a 24/7 staffing model that integrates Intensivists and APPs to provide expert care for high-acuity patients. Our CVTU manages complex cases and patient populations including: Cardiogenic shock Advanced Heart Failure LVAD Heart Transplant Pulmonary Hypertension Post-Cardiac Arrest Post-Cath Lab Patients You will have the opportunity to be privileged in procedures such as arterial line, central line, dialysis catheter, and pulmonary artery catheter insertions and manage mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABPs and Impellas. Pay Range: $54.90 - $82.35 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical responsibilities: Assesses, diagnoses, and determines/alters treatment and management plans appropriate for age, acuity and clinical condition. This includes ordering, performing, and interpreting appropriate diagnostic studies and prescription of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions and therapies. Manages conditions based on clinical indication, evidence-based care, cost effectiveness, and assessment of risks/benefits and alternatives. Provides health promotion, disease prevention and disease management counseling and education of patients and families. Manages patients as part of an interdisciplinary team and within scope of practice. Seeks physician or other healthcare team member consultation or referrals as appropriate. Escalates need for more emergent or specialized care when necessary. Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Substantiates and submits professional services consistent with compliant coding and billing practices. At all times abide by policies of the facility and ascertain that employees under his/her supervision do the same. Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake (it is acceptable to document only deviations from normal) and report persistent unresolved problems to the DON.
