Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Cardiology

Job Description Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director, guided by the policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Care Centers, and in collaboration with the physicians and other clinical staff in UCSF’s Cardiology Clinics, the Clinical Nurse 2 is responsible for providing safe, efficient nursing care to patients in the UCSF Stanyan outpatient Multispecialty practice. Triage patients and responds appropriately according to protocol and nursing assessment. The Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Nurse Navigator and Peds Ortho serves in a resource role and delivers direct patient care to Pediatric PM&R and Peds Ortho population. This clinician is experienced and highly skilled with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of related conditions and diagnoses, the major treatment modalities, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education for PM & R and ortho in the pediatric population. At this operational level, the nurse proactively embraces the Orthopaedic Society/Standards of Orthopaedic Nursing practice to utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. The nurse utilizes an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care with adherence to National Patient Safety Goals set forth by regulatory requirements. Pay Range is $81.26 to $109.95 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. We are seeking a Field Nurse Case Manager to cover San Francisco, CA, and surrounding areas . A Field Case Manager role is a home-based position with travel, up to 2 hours one-way (4 hours round trip per appointment). These appointments would be to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and various other locations. There may be multiple appointments in 1 day. This individual is responsible for the medical case management of work-related injuries, which includes assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals. The Case Manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees, and closely monitors the progress of the injured worker and reports results back to the employer and insurance carriers.
