In this program, you will begin by working as a Hospitality Assistant in a labor pool (as needed) status until your scheduled course begins. Classes require full-time day shift hours (participants are paid for all course and clinical hours). Following the completion of the program and passing the Virginia Board of Nursing – Nurse Aide exam, you will move into a full-time or part-time CNA position at the location in which you are hired. Summary The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process within assigned work periods. They function as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes consistent with the comprehensive plan of care. The RN participates in activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes. Key Responsibilities Knowledge of nursing process, social, behavioral and biological sciences normally acquired via approved nursing program. Able to provide age and culturally specific care to the population served. Ability to analyze data, to synthesize and summarize information and to make judgements regarding patient care.
