Conduct preliminary assessments of physician's new and follow-up clinic patients. Dictate clinic progress notes on physician's follow-up patients, dictate PMEs on new patients, and dictate consultation notes on his new consults. Write admission notes and orders for physician's patients admitted into the hospital. Write outpatient orders, including those for chemotherapy, IV fluids, transfusions, growth factors, etc. Assist with physician's clinic-related paperwork. Assist with physician's miscellaneous clinic activities. Screen patients' telephone calls and refer to physician when appropriate. Evaluate physician's clinic and Emergency Center "drop-in" patients. Job Duties Responsibilities will include clinic evaluation, diagnosis, work up, and management of a wide spectrum of dermatologic ailments. The provider will work in collaboration within the assigned physician’s clinic, as well as their own scheduled clinics. The selected candidate will perform comprehensive histories and physical exams; order and interpret clinical tests, prescribe medications, diagnose, and develop treatment plans; educate patients/families on treatment options; and conduct follow-up evaluations. May perform such office procedures as excisions, repairs, cosmetics procedures, and biopsies. On-the-job training is available in building these skills. Maintain records, write orders, and document progress notes in patient charts as to status, treatments, and procedures. Evaluates and modifies the plan of care as needed under the direction of the supervising physician. Provide follow-up care to patients, education, and support for patients in accordance with protocols established by the supervising physician. Communicate with physicians, patients, and the patient’s family about patient care. Collaborates with providers and practice staff in identifying appropriate patient care management. Meet or exceed productivity standards as established by section and/or department. Maintain credentialing at all times to ensure practice is not disrupted. Renew and meet all required and licensure certification requirements. Keep up with continuing medical education requirements as per college and section requirements. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education Required: Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies. Experience Required: 2+ years.
