Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations. Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup. Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned. Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice. Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary. Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space). Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ) Main Duties and Critical Tasks: Care for multiple residents in the facility. Observe Resident Rights. Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living. Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents. Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents. Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
