Per-Diem RN - Greater Boston/Boston, MA Always Best Care Private Nursing is seeking an experienced RN to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of one-to-one patient care, all in the comfort of the client’s home. This role requires someone who demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner under the direction of the Director of Private Nursing. Role and Responsibilities: RNs are responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, developing and updating care plans, administering medications, performing skilled tasks like wound care, and providing patient and family education. They supervise CNAs, QMAPs, and non-certified personnel. Responsibilities include: Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Performs thorough patient assessments and identifies changes in condition. Collaborates with a care team to develop and execute personalized care plans using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions. Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the patient care outcome standard. Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition. Demonstrates proficiency in administering medications safely and accurately. Communicates with the Director of Nursing in order to revise the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions. Other RN duties as assigned depending on the case. Requirements Current Nurse License for the state of Massachusetts. Current BLS card. Medical surgical care and critical care experience preferred. Access to reliable form of transportation. Skills: Dependent on case and patient acuity level. Unit Summary: The MedSurg Float Pool RN position is perfect for an RN who likes a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to learn and grow. MedSurg float RNs support medsurg and mixed acuity units, and float between the 2 Lowell General Hospital campuses (Main & Saints campus). MedSurg Float Pool RN positions offer a float pool hourly differential and requires two weekend shifts a month. Hours: 36 Hours Full-Time Shift: Nights 7PM-7AM (weekend and holiday rotation required) The Community RN Career Direct Care Pathway placement is comprised of four levels based on a RN’s minimum experience, education, and qualifications.
