Overview The Children's Mercy Division of Emergency provides the highest level of care to sick and injured children and adolescents of the Kansas City region. We have two Pediatric Emergency Departments, one in downtown Kansas City and one in Overland Park, Kan. Our Adele Hall Campus location is a verified Level I Trauma Center, accredited by the American College of Surgeons, and includes the Emergency Mental Health Crisis Center, a dedicated, calm and safe space for patients experiencing a mental health crisis. Our Children’s Mercy Kansas location also provides essential emergency services to the community. In both locations, patients receive skilled care from highly trained, passionate health care professionals. Critical care registered nurses provide illness management and health promotion for patients and families who require intensive care. Critical care registered staff nurses utilize the nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age appropriate nursing care for their assigned patients in the intensive care areas of the hospital. Critical care registered staff nurses provide patient and family education and advocate for their needs, while coordinating patient care with nonprofessional personnel as necessary. The pay range for this job begins at $33.43/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Our Certified Nursing Assistant – CNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant-STNA in Ohio) work with community management to provide seniors with personalized care, and give resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift. Nursing assistants check in with residents, assist with dining and personal care needs, and perform vital sign checks and clinical procedures according to community policy. Provide assistance with activities of daily living (showers, bathroom assistance, dressing/grooming) Successful completion of State CNA/STNA course is required. Must maintain certification.
