Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. Change bed linens in residents' rooms. Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes. Collect specimens as instructed (i.e., urine, sputum, stools, etc.). Maintain intake and output records as instructed. Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent pressure injuries. Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed in accordance with the individualized plan of care. Provide non-pharmacological interventions for pain in accordance with the plan of care. Provide daily range of motion (ROM) exercises; record data as instructed. How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary. Additional Details We are looking for a part time RN to join our clinical team at McHenry County Jail. This position is 24 hours a week, working 10p-6:30a and is every other weekend.
