Prepares (to include stocking of medical supplies as needed) and cleans exam rooms for provider/patient needs. Assesses all clinical calls with provider to determine acuity. Maintains smooth flow in daily schedule between providers and patients. Maintains EMR, ensure that results are appropriately scanned into system. Upon provider orders, relays patient prescriptions to the pharmacist, follow-up on orders, notification of test results and closing the loop on orders in the EMR. Maintains EPIC work queues for medication, imaging, and outside referrals. Reviews and obtain necessary pre-authorization approval for patients. Assures that informed consent is obtained prior to all procedures. Participates in orientation of new staff.
