Participates as a team member in the implementation of the nursing process in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Responsible and accountable for a group of patients spanning all ages, cultures and disability concerns for a designated time frame. Functions within policies, practice guidelines and nursing standards of Sturdy Memorial Hospital in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency. The WOCN is a resource for the ordering and proper utilization of specialty pressure redistribution products.
