Job Overview Fairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN. The hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions! It has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 45 beds and a yearly census of approximately 67,000 and growing! Team members include Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, transport, and Case Managers. Emergency Department Registered Nurses provide emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions (infant to geriatrics) and all problem types in a very lively Emergency Room. The Fairview Ridges ER processes 67,000 cases per year, with an average of 184 patients seen daily. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and instructing. New positions added due to volumes/growth. The patient population served by the Emergency Department consists of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring or seeking medical care. Twenty percent of our ED volume is pediatric. Schedule: This position is 48 hours per pay period, 12 hour night shifts with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Required Qualifications: MN RN Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers Completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers required by the end of orientation. Department Overview The pre-procedure assessment center is a team of nurses working prior to hospital arrival with all patients and families to ensure a consistent, comprehensive preparation for anesthesia. This team works through review of patient medical records, verbal conversation with parents, use of multiple patient digital health platforms and as members of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary team to holistically meet needs of the patient and family, this professional nursing team decreases risk to the patient planning to receive anesthesia and decreases delays and cancelation of surgical procedures. Gillette Children's is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Craniofacial Surgery team. Full Time with on-call rotation for weekends and holidays. Out-patient and In-Patient. Rotation through St. Paul, Maple Grove and Burnsville clinics with some travel to Greater MN clinics. Purpose of Position The advanced practice provider (APP) provides clinical care to patients in a family-centered model with complex acute, critical and chronic health care conditions, advises patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provides skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families.
