Our Maternity unit is a 24-26 bed unit averaging 14 mother/baby patients with 55 employees. Patients are high and low risk postpartum mom & babies 35 weeks gestation and above, substance-exposed infants, management of hyperbilirubinemia and hypoglycemia in the newborn, as well as post gynecological surgery. About the Job: The Registered Nurse on Maternity cares for high and low risk postpartum mom and babies for 2-3 nights following birth (2 nights for vaginal and 3 nights for cesarean). What You’ll Do: Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment. Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
