Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County is currently looking for Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a CNA certification or be a Home Health Aide currently working in the Home Health field. Responsibilities include: making visits to patient homes for both home health and hospice to provide personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, dressing, and assisting the patient with ambulation and transfer activities. Must have reliable transportation and possess good organizational and communication skills. Positions available in both Litchfield County and the Greater Farmington Valley. We are offering a generous sign on bonus for any RN hired for full and part time! DUTIES: Handle all supervisory duties for assigned unit. Help establish and implement employee policies and procedures. Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice. Maintain the standards of care for the unit. Review of Resident records & quality of care. Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families. Represent the unit's interests with upper-level management. REQUIREMENTS: Must hold valid NYS RN License. 2 years Long Term Care Experience preferred. 1 year Charge Nurse experience preferred. Should have an excellent positive attitude to act as the leader of a group. Strong computer skills. Excellent communication skills.

Our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York Program provides therapeutic care to children, adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. This position is responsible for maintaining standards of developmental disabilities nursing practice. As a Registered Nurse, you will maintain current healthcare information for program participants, ensure that medications are administered as prescribed, and ensure that Approved Medication Administration Personnel are supervised and their certification is maintained as required by regulations and agency policy. The RN position will be based in residential (group home) settings in the Red Hook and Tivoli, NY area.
