Interacts with clients, patients and Practice staff, providing patient care, communicating, organizing and resolving issues with regard to monitoring. Presents patients to the doctor in clinic. Alerts doctor of any problems with patient or device. Ensures accurate recording (saving to program), reporting (uploading, creating letters from template for physician review) and authorization (physician signature); Other data entry includes billing codes. Coordinates clinic scheduling needs, including coordination of device tech vendors and representatives. Enrolls patients electronically for remote monitoring and educate patients on device care and follow up including home monitoring instructions. Provides proper support as medical assistant as necessary (prepare and room patient, take vitals/bp, conducts EKG or ECT, review meds). May perform INR for Coumadin and refill scripts, assist with clinical calls from patients, physician offices, hospitals and nursing homes. Handles nursing emails sent from offsite remote monitoring company. Based on level of education and certification may complete treadmill stress tests; CVT: Complete non-invasive peripheral vascular tests by collecting ultrasound echoes. Maintains equipment/systems, follow operating instructions; report hazardous conditions; troubleshoots calibrate equipment; follows preventive maintenance procedures; anticipates repair requirements; calls for repairs. Promotes positive patient relations. Assures confidentiality of all information related to patients. Organizes priorities and works independently and as a member of a team to complete tasks. Supports team to ensure delivery of excellent patient care by assisting with and assuming diversified tasks as required.
