Key Functions Assists with patient examinations, treatments and procedures. Prepares / stocks rooms and escorts patients to rooms. Obtains vital signs and prepares patients for physician's care. Documents in the medical record patient care entries and completed lab work. Reviews and sorts incoming lab results and forwards reports for review. Collects laboratory specimens and performs waived laboratory testing. Provides transportation of patients for discharge or transfer to other areas in the hospital. What does the Advanced Practice Provider do? (including but not limited to) Under supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, involved in the care of individuals, families and patient groups who are dealing with cancer or other related diagnosis.
