Registered Nurse - 3 Main Job Summary Responsible for implementing and supervising nursing services in the medical and surgical care and gives direction to unit assistants on shift. Implements nursing care in a fast-paced environment primarily with observation status patients and overnight post-op patient stays. Treat actual or potential health problems using the nursing diagnosis and maintain the plan of care. Teach, counsel and provide supportive care to the patient and their significant others. Essential Functions Provides safe and appropriate nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process Performs a thorough and timely assessment of patient’s condition including physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative aspects Identifies problems/nursing needs including discharge needs Intervenes appropriately to address identified problems and needs. Plans care according to standards of care. Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of NJ. Certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association). ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification preferred. Minimum Work Experience 2 year or more experience in an acute care setting preferred. Vent Care Experience.
