A Fred Hutch Cancer Center ARNP/PA-C is a certified physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management of multiple service lines of adult oncology patients at our community site at Evergreen. They will actively coordinate the complex care of cancer patients undergoing both systemic anti-cancer therapy and radiation therapy. The incumbent will manage side-effects of these therapies, order appropriate laboratory and radiographic studies; prescribe medications and refer patients to other specialists as necessary. The incumbent may provide for post-treatment cancer patients follow-up visits for the medically indicated period after completion of treatment. The incumbent will also provide psychological support to patients by participating in patient and/or family teaching and refer patients to community agencies and other resources to promote optimal adjustment and functioning.
