MAIN FUNCTION: Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, including organizing patient flow, preparing exam rooms, accompanying patients to exam rooms. Documents patient history, charting, collecting specimens, relaying instructions to patients, and assisting patients as necessary. Performs patient screening, including documenting patient history, performing medication reconciliation and obtaining vitals. Assists doctor with physical exam and office procedures as necessary. Assists office coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other administrative duties as needed. Manages and updates patient medical records, manages referrals and prior authorizations. Maintains inventory of clinical equipment and supplies, including ordering and restocking when necessary. Obtain prior authorizations and book surgeries as needed. *Additional responsibilities as needed. *Required to float to other GFP offices/locations based on business need. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of recognized Medical Assistant/ Medical Office Assistant diploma program preferred. EXPERIENCE: Experience working in a surgical office strongly preferred. Must possess strong customer service skills and must be able to multi-task. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of a 40-bed nursing unit, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Address staff performance, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary Complete required documentation such as assessments, reports, audits, and care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of resident care Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies Make sound clinical and administrative decisions in a timely manner Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care preferred) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Solid understanding of clinical practices, regulatory standards, and long-term care operations Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Must demonstrate reliability and consistent attendance Compensation & Benefits Salary up to $120,000 annually Daily Pay option available Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Voluntary Supplemental Benefits The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. RN Supervisor Responsibilities Include: Supervise all nursing care in the facility Assess residents as needed Document in residents medical record as needed Admit/readmit residents Ensure that a safe environment is maintained Assist unit nurses as needed Interact with facility physicians as needed Any other tasks as assigned by the DNS RN Supervisor Qualifications/Requirements: Current NYS RN (Registered Nurse) license. Experience preferred. Working knowledge of EMR and proficient in documentation. Current CPR certification. Must be a compassionate and reliable team player.
