Purpose: To provide each assigned resident with routine daily nursing care and services in a safe, timely and accurate manner in accordance with state and federal requirements and the policies and goals of this facility Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Responsibilities: Performs all personal care activities under the direction of an RN and which may include, but not be limited to, assisting the patient or client with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfer Maintenance of a clean, safe and healthy environment Other activities as taught by a licensed health professional employee Assisting with tasks associated with elimination including, but not limited to toileting, assisting with the use of the bedpan and urinal, providing catheter care including changing the urinary catheter bag, collecting specimens, and/or emptying ostomy bags, or changing bags that do not adhere to the skin. Assisting with the use of devices such as a wheelchair or walker Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises Measuring intake and output of fluids Measuring temperature, pulse, respiration or blood pressure. We are hiring a weekend Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland! 3p-11p, 16 hours a week. $48 an hour if an LPN, $50 if an RN. Weekly pay. As the nursing supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each of shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Experience & Education: Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in this state. Must be CPR certified. Must have as a minimum, one (1) year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other related health care facility is preferable. Duties & Responsibilities: Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident. Participates in developing, updating, and communicating residents' care plans. Assures staff is implementing care plans, performing care activities appropriately, and recognizes changes in resident status. Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care. Follow physician’s orders. Renders and/or assists with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders. Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately. Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness. Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes. Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed. Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary. Administer medication according to procedure if applicable. Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary. Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
