Overview Position Overview The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Charge Nurse maintains comprehensive clinical oversight and administrative accountability for unit operations, patient care quality, and safety during their assigned shift. Support efficient patient flow and front- and back-office operations, including discharge, phone calls, scheduling, and referrals. Participate in quality improvement, productivity, compliance, and documentation initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations. Contribute to a collaborative team environment, assist with staff training and onboarding, and demonstrate flexibility in supporting clinical functions and departmental needs. Provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced community health setting. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to hire. At least one year of outpatient Medical Assistant experience preferred. Experience in family practice, primary care, community health, or a similar outpatient setting is a plus. Must have experience with vaccinating children of all ages Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
