Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Gig Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) works in accordance with professional standards of care and adheres to the corporate philosophy of OSF HealthCare. The Gig APN shall be responsible for providing high quality patient care to the patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care. As a Gig APN, they control their own flexibility of preferred shifts/locations and create a schedule that work for them, on their time. They are responsible for maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided, and maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by the provider or other support staff. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Licensed to provide either advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act OR physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987. Nurse Practitioners must hold a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification from the National Certification Corporation Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable. BLS/ACLS Certified. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
