We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to provide overnight care and companionship for a female client living with dementia. Responsibilities • Provide attentive supervision and companionship throughout the evening and overnight hours • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene as needed • Assist with meal preparation and encourage proper hydration and nutrition • Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan • Assist with safe mobility and transfers as needed • Monitor the client for changes in behavior, mood, or condition and report concerns promptly • Provide reassurance and redirection if the client becomes confused, anxious, or agitated • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment • Assist with the client's evening and morning routines • Help prevent falls and other safety risks, especially during nighttime hours • Document and communicate important observations and updates to the family or care team • Provide respectful, patient, and dementia-sensitive care at all times Ideal Candidate • Previous experience caring for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease preferred • Patient, compassionate, calm, and dependable • Comfortable working overnight hours • Able to recognize and respond appropriately to confusion, wandering, agitation, or changes in behavior • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Able to follow the client's care plan and instructions • Must be reliable and committed to maintaining the scheduled hours • Caregiver certification or relevant experience preferred Schedule Location: Bloomfield, NJ 07003. 5:00 PM – 8:30 AM The caregiver will be responsible for providing evening, overnight, and morning support according to the client's care needs and care plan.
