This includes: Performing comprehensive histories and physical exams and identifying normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial status. Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests. Developing pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans. Serving as an educational resource for patients, families, health care professionals, and students. Facilitating patient referrals to other medical providers, medical facilities, and other health/social service agencies as needed. Collaborating and/or consulting with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate. Professional Development Recognizes the importance of participation in professional organizations. Accepts responsibility for ongoing professional development and maintenance of professional competence and credentials.
