Consistently assesses and modifies approach, communication and activities to reflect the needs of patients based on procedure/surgery, age, cultural diversity and developmental level. • b. Demonstrates understanding of the unique needs of the patients • c. Completes preadmission nursing assessment according to unit standards. • d. Provides teaching based on assessment and established protocols. • e. Performs accurate and timely documentation consistent with departmental policies • f. Consistently meets department productivity standards, while performing all duties. • 2. Ensures completion/receipt of required preadmission items prior to the day of surgery/procedure. • a. Effectively communicates pertinent patient information in a timely manner in both written and verbal context, while adhering to HIPPA policies. • d.
