Job Description Seeking full-time or part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Sidney, Vandalia and Dayton, Ohio area. The responsabilities will be to provide rapid growth and quickly expanding psychiatric service obligations to residents in long term care facilities. This skilled professional must be able to work collaboratively with members of interdisciplinary treatment team to develop, implement or evaluate treatment plans. We are seeking a skilled professional that is committed to providing these services with a high level of integrity and thrives for excellence in the care of the residents. Minimum Job Requirements: Licensed nurse in the state of Ohio with Advance Practice Registered Nurse License in good standing. or Physician Assistant degree is the State of Ohio. Hold a degree as a PMHNP - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the level needed to assess and prescribe medication collaboratively with a psychiatrist as determined by the State Board of Nursing. Or a Physician Assistant with experince in the psychiatry field. Board Certified Psychiatric experience required. Geriatric experience preferred. Active DEA required. Supportive Staffing Ratios Key Responsibilities: Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as directed. Assist residents with mobility, positioning, transfers, and use of assistive devices. Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff. Answer call lights promptly and provide needed assistance. Help residents with meals, including tray setup and feeding assistance. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided. Keep resident rooms clean, organized, and safe. Provide respectful, compassionate care in accordance with resident care plans. Follow facility policies, state regulations, and infection control protocols. Participate in in-service training and continuing education as required. Qualifications: Valid STNA certification in the state of employment High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus but not required. Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with residents and staff. Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused. Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents and perform job-related tasks. Current CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
