Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of Position : Under supervision, provides professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit. SPECIAL SKILLS Ability to read, write, basic computer skills and understand the English language; ability to perform basic mathematics; ability to carry out directions; must possess a mature, sympathetic and caring attitude with the ability to be sensitive to the varied needs of the GH patient population; must be flexible, cooperative, and able to meet the demands of the NA position using appropriate communication techniques; must pass the Greenwich Hospital Competency Program before providing patient care independently. PHYSICAL DEMAND May be exposure to infectious diseases. Moderate stress and risk of injury from patient care. Standing/walking for more than half of the day.
