Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 - The Behavioral health RN provides physical emotional and psychological support to patients with various mental health concerns and assists other nursing staff in coordinating care for this population. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to identify patient needs and develop a plan to meet those needs. The patient population served is consistent with the admission/discharge criteria; renders direct and indirect outcome nursing care through the application of the nursing process; functions within policies, practice guidelines and nursing standards of SMH in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency. 36 Hours - 3PM - 3AM Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Minimum of 1 years of providing care to behavioral health patients Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families to facilitate a therapeutic relationship Excellent communication and customer services skills required Successful completion of orientation and annual competencies.
