Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program if approved by Chief Nursing Officer or designee Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned; Circulating experience either in a main Operating Room or a multi-disciplinary surgery center, or completion of a Periop 101 program preferred. Position Summary To fulfill the needs of Diagnostic Imaging patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Education Bachelor`s degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR, ACLS and PALS certification and unit-based orientation. Schedule: Shifts are 8 hours every weekend Saturday and Sunday, varied start times (7am to 8:30 am) based on the needs of the department. Experience Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required. Cat Scan and MRI experience preferred but will provide unit-based training to qualified candidates. Radiology experience preferred; however, willing to train experienced applicants . Skills Physical and cognitive requirements: Position's physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including but not limited to, physically assisting patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling. Position is classified according to the USDOL as Very Heavy Work which is defined as exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
